New opposition to plans for Wrexham’s Racecourse

Plans to develop the Racecourse and boost Wrexham FC with an injection of cash have run into opposition. Both Rhosddu and Offa community councils have objected to the plans on a number of grounds, the main one being that only four parking spaces would be allocated for more than 300 NEWI student rooms. Despite this Wrexham’s chief planning officer Lawrence Isted recommends the proposals are passed because many students will not own their own cars. Read more here.
