Welsh Voices of the Great War Online 31st July. Welsh Voices of the Great War Online seeks to gather and make public an undiscovered treasure trove of World War 1 artefacts and memorabilia. We are interested in any and all material relating to the Welsh experience in the Great War – eg. letters, diaries, photographs – and in stories that have been passed down the generations. If you have any material from the First World War period in your attic, or family memories about the experiences of your ancestors, then come along to share your family’s stories. The Parish Church of St Giles is the greatest mediaeval Parish Church in Wales is still in use for the purposes for which it was built, more than 500 years ago. It is heated, lit and open daily from 10am-4pm for visitors and private prayer. We would ask that Group and School visits are by prior appointment please. In addition, Tower Tours are available every week on Thursdays and Saturdays at 1230pm , weather permitting, also children must be accompanied by an adult. Wales Comic Con 2010 – Arrives again this April on Sunday 25th at the Glyndwr University Wrexham.
Come and meet some of the stars of film and television including; Dirk Benedict of the A-Team, Gareth David-Lloyd from Torchwood, Jeremy Bulloch who played the evil Boba Fett in Star Wars and many more!
There will also be comic artists sketching your favourite heroes and villains in our COMICZONE, along with free Q&A sessions with the guests, stalls selling all the coolest memorabilia and toys around it promises to be a fun day out for all.

TV legend Johnny Ball will be launching the 12th annual Wrexham Science Festival which promises to be more spectacular than ever!
The 12th annual Wrexham Science Festival will be launching soon from 1-10 July 2010. It is the largest event of its kind in Wales, and attracts over 10,000 visitors every year.
The events programme is packed full of over forty free talks, workshops and demonstrations, which are open to the public and designed to challenge people’s thinking about science.
The highlight of the event is Scientriffic, a family focussed event featuring interactive experiments, live science demonstrations, fascinating science shows and exhibitions.
Also, we will have an exhibition of winning and shortlisted entries for our hotly anticipated photography competition.
