An exciting new restaurant has opened nearby at the Red Lion, Marchwiel.
Howard Morgan, who until recently, owned the Cross Foxes at Nannerch has taken over the lease, and together with local chef Chris Hughes has re-opened the Red Lion Restaurant.
Howard’s 40+ years experience in the hospitality business has included managing some of Chester’s most popular hotels and lecturing at Kelsterton Catering College in food service. His pedigree is equally matched by that of chef Chris Hughes who has ran kitchens at the Plas Hafod Hotel in Mold, George Hotel at Llandudno and the Royal Oak, Kinnerton to name a few.
Together Chris and Howard intend to offer fresh food cooked to the highest standard but at an affordable price. “We must not lose sight that this is a ‘pub restaurant’ and it will not however prevent us from using fresh food which will be cooked to order, beautifully presented and served in a friendly efficient manner”, says Howard. The Red Lion is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner and has a 2 for 1 offer available.
