Firms urged to support Wrexham Business Week 2009

Companies from across Wrexham are being urged to take part in the eighth Wrexham Business Week which takes place this year between November 16 and 20.The event is the largest event of its type in the region, with a programme of around 60 events attracting delegates from across Wales, the North West and the Midlands. 2evolv create 1st digital version of Wrexham Business Week programme

Wrexham based digital media company, 2evolv, has published the 7th Wrexham Business Week programme as an on line publication.

This will be the first time the programme has been produced in a digital format and Amanda Davies of Wrexham Council’s Economic Development Department and organiser of Wrexham Council event said: “ I am delighted that 2evolv is able to sponsor this year’s programme as a digital brochure. When people visit our website they will be able to read the programme as they would do a magazine, by turning the pages. This digital programme complements the printed version, is interactive and will ensure we are able to encourage as many people to become involved in this year’s Wrexham Business Week”.

2evolv is North Wales’ only digital publication specialist and since opening its offices in Redwither Tower has gained a reputation for making turn page technology available to small businesses, large companies and public sector bodies.

Managing Director of 2evolv, Gary Edwards said “our clients find digital publications an exciting and an innovative way of making their information more accessible and at times when businesses are looking to save money and cut down their carbon footprint, digital publications can meet their needs.”

Wrexham Business Week – Cyber Crime

Wrexham Business Week – Europe Direct tackle Climate Change

As part of Wrexham Business Week Europe Direct are hosting a FREE seminar on climate change. There is so much talk of the change in the climate and the impact that has on us, but do you really know much about it? Attending this seminar will allow you to find out more and discover what plans there are in place to combat it. Wrexham Business Week 2008

The Wrexham Business Week programme is now available for download. Now in its seventh year, the event continues to grow in size and popularity and this year it will run from 20 – 24 October 2008.

The week will be launched by BBC TV Presenter Sian Lloyd, but there will also be high profile events featuring Simon Weston, TV’s Melissa Porter, Jason Mohammed and Rory Cellan-Jones.

Events will be held at various venues within the County Borough and will range from small seminars to large conferences and exhibitions, covering a wide range of business-related topics. There are events tailored to the needs of all types of businesses, from new start-ups to those that have the potential to expand.

Cllr Rodney Skelland, Lead Member for Corporate Governance & Regeneration, says: “Wrexham Business Week has historically attracted delegates from across Wales and North West England, as well as from the local area, and the week provides an opportunity for business people to network and form new partnerships. Wrexham Business Week highlights Wrexham’s role as the driver of the North Wales economy and I am delighted that our partners have once again supported Wrexham County Borough Council enabling us to stage the event”.

A number of sponsors work with the Economic Development Department of the Council to ensure the event’s success and these are all highlighted in the programme. 90,000 copies of the programme have been printed and will be distributed by North Wales Newspapers across Wrexham and Flintshire week commencing September 15.
